OUR STORY
How We Met
Diana and Gregory had many opportunities to meet over the years. In 2006 they both studied at the University of Southern California - overlapping 3 of each of their 4 years there. In 2009 they both lived in the same building in downtown Los Angeles - and Diana even worked downstairs at the cafe where Gregory was a frequent patron. They both went to the same parties, they knew many of the same people and their lives crossed paths many times. Yet somehow they never met - passing by each other like ships in the night.
It wasn't until 2012 that they met while separately paying visits to mutual friends in Echo Park. After a couple more run-ins (which may or may not have been strategically planned by Diana) things turned romantic at the Hollywood Bowl. After skipping out on the main act and instead bonding over Brit Pop, Glam Rock, and Leonard Cohen they began dating and the rest is history.
The Bride
Diana arrived in Los Angeles to study at the University of Southern California having found it to be the middle ground of Pennsylvania and Hawaii where she grew up. Having received her business degree from the Thornton School of Music in Music Industry she now works as a business manager in the field of entertainment primarily working with songwriters, producers, pop groups, and touring entities.

The Groom
Gregory, a Los Angeles native, spent much of his childhood in the political world of Washington DC. Returning to his homeland for college at the University of Southern California he studied Classics and briefly lived abroad in Rome. Having traveled much of the world Gregory's commitment to the progressive cause has led him to create and run a PAC focused on helping Californians support democratic candidates outside of the state. Not one to settle - Gregory also leads the Employee Ambassador Task Force at Servicon Systems and is a Songwriter, Singer, and Guitarist for LA rock band Swerve.

The Pup
Wesley will be 10 years old as of April 1, 2019. To stay young he spends his days perfecting the art of Preventative Security. Always on guard, he loudly imparts to all passersby that there is, indeed, a highly trained watch dog on duty at all times. At the time of this writing his method of deterrence has a 100% success rate. Much adored by his mom and dad they are proud of his accomplishments and happily shower him with love.

SIGHTS TO SEE
LACMA
The Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art is a world famous museum located in the heart of LA.
LA BREA TAR PITS
Located adjacent to LACMA, check out this amazing museum and tar bubbling up from underground.
THE GETTY
If you see only one thing while visiting Los Angeles it has to be the Getty - in either of its two locations! The Getty Center, located more centrally, sits high above the city and focuses on Western art from the Middles Ages onward along with touring exhibits. The Getty Villa, overlooking the ocean in Malibu, is a replica of an ancient Roman villa and houses ancient art and antiquities. (Both locations are free except for parking but the Getty Villa does require reserved tickets.)
BEACHES
We heard there's a couple in and around LA... although we never visit.
RESTAURANTS
GRACIAS MADRE
You're in LA so you might as well go vegan! Gracias Madre has some of the most delicious Mexican food (vegan or not) you'll ever have.
EVELEIGH
A total LA gem, we recommend the Eveleigh for their seasonal Californian brunch, lunch & dinner so definitely go check it out.
Other D+G Approved Restaurants
Tacos, Italian, Thai & More Vegan Food!
ACTIVITIES
HIKE AT RUNYON CANYON
One of the most popular hikes in LA, Runyon Canyon has sweeping views of Los Angeles. Around a few of the corners you can also catch a clear view of the Hollywood sign.
ABBOTT KINNEY
Hipsters, amazing restaurants, and delicious coffee shops everywhere, head to Abbot Kinney in Venice to check out "the scene".
We suggest brunch at The Butcher's Daughter, dinner at Gjelina, ice cream at Salt & Straw, and shopping everywhere!
CATCH A SHOW
WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL
Besides hosting the LA Philharmonic, the downtown Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall is a true Los Angeles landmark. Its only equivalent is found in its sister venue the Hollywood Bowl.
THEATRE
Next door to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Music Center is home to world-class theatre, opera, and ballet. Looking for something more contemporary? The REDCAT is just around the corner! Closer to home the Hollywood Pantages theater will be playing Fiddler on the Roof and Les Miserables around our wedding date!
TINSEL TOWN
Catching a movie is an art form here. From the historic Cinerama Dome and El Capitan Theatre to watching a classic amidst Hollywood's (late) elite at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary - a night at the movies can be a true event! More interested in watching the magic happen? Tapings and studio tours abound!
